My history
I am a Venezuelan living in Chile, and my last name, which means "help" in Spanish,
reflects the core of my professional identity.
I graduated as a Systems Engineer and began my career as an analyst and customer support
at an administrative systems development company.
While I enjoyed helping people, I felt unfulfilled in my role and yearned to code.
I eventually landed my dream job as a front-end developer at a pharmaceutical company,
but my time there was cut short due to the escalating social, economic,
and political problems in my country.
With just $500 in my pocket, I embarked on a perilous journey through four different Latin American
countries before finally arriving in Chile.
Although I found work as an IT support specialist within weeks of arriving,
I still felt unfulfilled.
I realized that I needed to pursue my dream of becoming a developer and transform my life.
So I quit my job and dedicated myself to learning the latest programming technologies full-time.
My journey has not been without its challenges.
Leaving my country was emotionally devastating, and adapting to a new environment
with language barriers and financial struggles was daunting.
But my resilience and persistence, coupled with the support of my loved ones,
helped me overcome these obstacles.
Through my courses, I have gained valuable exposure to the technological business environment
and have had the opportunity to work with real companies to solve real problems.
My vision for the future is to make a positive impact through my work in the tech industry,
particularly in areas related to social justice and sustainability.
Overall, my story is a testament to the power of perseverance and the importance
of following your dreams, no matter the obstacles in your way.
